Filters & sorting

Every filter chip, Only / Without, and how filtering flows everywhere.

One filter bar rules the whole app. Whatever it holds scopes the dashboard table, every metric card, every analytics chart and every insight, all at once, live.

Every filter, explained

Every chip opens its own list: tick as many values as you like and the app keeps the trades matching any of them. Each list also has an Only / Without switch at the top (see below).

FilterWhat it does
PairScope to one or several instruments: tick as many as you like, or a whole group (Forex, Commodities, Indices, Crypto) at once. The list only offers pairs that actually exist in your journal. Hover a pair (with a mouse) to preview what it does to your stats before you click.
FileScope to one or several imported files. Perfect for judging one Rafale session or one broker statement in isolation. All trades counts every uploaded file at once. Your hand-logged trades sit last, as Manually imported trades, with their own checkbox.
FolderOne or several folders (Backtest, Live, or your own). Appears once at least one trade is filed.
TagsScope to trades carrying specific tags. Multiple tags can be active at once.
DirectionLong, Short, or both.
DayAny set of weekdays (Monday to Friday).
MonthAny set of calendar months present in your data.
SessionAsia, London, New York, Overlap or Off Hours, one or several.
TimeframeAny set of entry timeframes (5m, 15m, 1h...), offered when your trades carry timeframes.
OutcomeWins, losses, break-evens, or any mix of them.
Entry hourA range slider in 5-minute steps (9:05 – 14:30, say), spanning your own trading hours: from your earliest entry time of day to your latest. Keeps only trades entered inside the window: the start time counts, the end time doesn't, so two windows that touch never share a trade.
Date rangeFrom / to date pickers to isolate any period.
NotesFree-text search inside your trade notes (case doesn't matter).
TakenA chip that cycles through three states on each click: Only Taken (the default: only trades you actually took count), All Trades (taken and skipped together) and Only Skipped (the setups you passed on, from Rafale's NO decisions or logged as Skipped).

Only or Without

Every filter can work the other way round. Only (the default) keeps the trades matching what you tick. Switch to Without and the same ticks are left out instead: tick XAU/USD in Without mode and you get every trade except gold. The ticked boxes turn into crosses, and the chip shows a crossed-out eye so you can tell the mode from the bar. Entry hour and Date range work the same way: in Without mode the window is cut out (no trades between 12:00 and 13:30, no trades from the NFP week). Without mode on Tags drops every trade carrying any of the ticked tags, and on Notes every trade whose notes contain your text: type FOMO in Without mode to see your journal without the trades you flagged as FOMO. Reset puts a filter back to Only.

Good to know

  • Live everywhere. Filters do not just trim the table; KPIs, charts, insights, the PDF export, the Simulator and the AI analyst all work on the filtered set.
  • R / $ at the end of the bar. The display toggle sits at the far right of the filter bar. See Display & settings.
  • Pair preview on hover. Hovering a pair in the Pair filter (with a mouse or the keyboard) opens a card with your win rate, max drawdown, net result, profit factor and expectancy without that pair and with it, side by side, plus the difference it makes (green when the pair helps, red when it hurts). The comparison runs on the pairs in your view: the ticked ones, every pair when none is, or the unticked ones in Without mode. Below that: the pair on its own (its win rate, result, expectancy and drawdown, its rank by expectancy, long versus short) and what it made during your deepest drawdown. Every figure respects your other filters, and pairs with fewer than 20 trades are flagged as a small sample.
  • Active count and Clear. The bar shows how many filters deviate from default and offers one-click reset.
  • Persistent and synced. Your filters and sort survive navigation and refresh, and follow your account across devices.
  • Self-cleaning. Delete the imported file you were filtering on, or the last trade in a filtered folder, and the stale filter drops itself instead of leaving you staring at an empty table.

The skipped-winners study

Set the Taken chip to Only Skipped and filter Outcome to wins: these are the winners you skipped. If that set is big and fat, your discretionary filter is costing you money, and now you know.
