The 8 KPIs
Net R, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown and more, with their mini charts.
Eight cards at the top of Analytics (and of the Dashboard) summarize your whole edge. Each carries a small chart of its own and an info popover with the formula and your numbers.
The definitions
| KPI | How it is computed | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Net R / Net PnL | The sum of all results in scope, in R (or dollars). | The bottom line. The sparkline is your equity curve in miniature. |
| Win Rate | Wins divided by decisive trades. Break-even trades (exactly 0R) are excluded from the denominator. | Meaningless alone; pair it with Average RR. 40% can print money at 2.5R winners. |
| Profit Factor | Gross winnings divided by gross losses. | Above 1 means the wins outweigh the losses. Sustained values above ~1.5 signal a robust edge. |
| Expectancy | Average result per trade: net R divided by trade count. | Your edge per bullet fired. Positive expectancy repeated at scale is the whole game. |
| Max Drawdown | The deepest peak-to-trough fall of your equity curve, in R. | The pain your sizing plan must survive. Size positions from this, not from hope. |
| Average RR | Average winner divided by average loser (the payoff ratio). | Shows whether you let winners run. The card also shows the two averages themselves. |
| Best / Worst | Your single largest win and largest loss. | A worst-loss far beyond -1R usually means a stop was not honored. Worth investigating. |
| Streaks | Your longest winning run and longest losing run. | Losing streaks are statistically inevitable; knowing your real number keeps variance from feeling personal. |
The mini chart on each card
Each card draws the shape that tells its story best, on the right side of the card:
| Card | Its mini chart |
|---|---|
| Net R / Net PnL | Your equity curve, as an area. |
| Win Rate | Your running win rate, trade after trade (to two decimals). |
| Profit Factor | Two columns side by side: gross winnings (solid) next to gross losses (paler). |
| Expectancy | A staircase of up to 8 steps, each the expectancy of one slice of your journal in trade order: above zero for a winning stretch, below (paler) for a losing one. |
| Max Drawdown | Your drawdown, as an area. |
| Average RR | Your running payoff ratio. |
| Best / Worst | A donut of the two. |
| Streaks | Your latest 14 runs as bars around a midline, newest on the right: wins rise, losses drop, and your longest win run and loss run are drawn brightest. |
When you change a filter, the mini charts glide to their new shape. On phones and tablets the cards sit two per row.
Break-even handling
Trades that close at exactly 0R count as break-even, not as losses. They appear in the Win Rate card's subtitle (e.g. 168W · 79L · 4BE) and stay out of the win-rate math.
