Past sessions & review

Resume unfinished sessions, review finished ones, and review a friend's file.

Every backtest you run is archived automatically. Past Sessions is where you resume unfinished work, re-read finished sessions, and review backtests, including files sent by someone else.

The sessions list

Open it with Past Sessions on the home screen, or the archive icon in the panel header during a session. Each row shows the symbol, the timeframe, a progress badge (31/47 decided, filled when complete) and a dot marking the session you are currently in. An arrow opens the details view.

Session details

  • The full stat block : Total R, winrate, taken W/L, skipped Sk-W / Sk-L, max drawdown, expectancy, profit factor and net USD, plus the date range covered.
  • Resume (unfinished sessions): reopens the chart on the right pair and replay position and drops you at the next undecided trade.
  • Review Session (finished sessions): replays the whole session read-only, exit by exit. Each trade shows its verdict plus a status banner, TRADE TAKEN in green or TRADE SKIPPED in red, and its notes. PREV / NEXT walk the trades, and the double-chevron fast buttons jump straight to the notable ones: your wins and your skipped wins.
  • Download XLSX / Import to Afterburner are always available here, even for sessions finished weeks ago.
  • Delete (the red trash icon) removes the archived session.

Reviewing an external file

Rafale can replay a backtest it did not record, a session XLSX from a friend, a student, or another of your own machines. With no session loaded, click the RAFALE title in the panel header: a file picker opens for .xlsx and .csv.

  1. 1

    Drop in the file

An Afterburner-format file (the columns Rafale exports) is recognized as a review file : every trade with its decision, result and notes. A raw TradingView strategy CSV also works and starts a fresh YES/NO session instead.
  2. 2

    Rafale points the chart

If the file says which exchange the data came from, Rafale re-tunes your chart automatically (pair, price source and timeframe) so the candles match the ones the trader saw. If the file has no broker information, a Go to this pair screen shows you the pair and timeframe to open by hand, then you click All set!.
  3. 3

    Review like it is yours

The session replays in review mode: verdicts, TAKEN / SKIPPED banners, notes, fast-jump to wins and skipped wins, the calendar, everything. Perfect for a mentor checking a student's honesty, or comparing your read of the same setups.

Sessions live in your browser

The archive is stored locally in your browser on tradingview.com. Clearing site data deletes it. Anything worth keeping should be downloaded as XLSX or imported into Afterburner, where it lives in your cloud journal.
