What the Simulator does

Your real trades against a prop firm's rules: pass odds and what it would have paid.

The Simulator answers the question every funded-account trader asks: with my real trades, what are my odds of passing this prop firm challenge, and what would it have paid?

What it does

Open the Simulator tab in the navbar. You pick a prop firm, one of its accounts and your risk per trade. The page then does two things with your journal:

  • Pass odds (Monte Carlo). Your results are replayed 5,000 times in random order against the firm's rules: profit target, max drawdown, daily loss, consistency. You get the probability to pass, to bust, how many trades a pass usually takes and what you should expect to spend on attempts.
  • Accounts monitoring. Your real trades, in their real order, run through the same rules as if you had been trading that account all along: how many evaluations you would have bought, passed and blown, how many funded accounts would still be alive, and the money left after the firm's share and the fees.

Which trades it uses

  • The filter bar applies. The Simulator works on the trades your filters keep, like Analytics. Filter to one strategy folder, one session or a set of pairs, and the odds follow.
  • Your R distribution. Each trade counts by its result in R. Your risk slider turns that into a share of the account: a +2R trade at 1% risk is +2% of the account.
  • Your trading pace. How many trades you take per day is worked out from the journal (trades divided by trading days), so a challenge moves at your real rhythm. It is not a setting.
  • How far each trade went against you, when it can be known: see Accounts monitoring & money. With it, a winner that first dipped through the drawdown still counts as a breach, the way a real firm would see it.

The header shows how many trades are in the sample. Results always read in percent of the account and dollars; the R / $ toggle does not change this page.

Where else you find it

  • Talios. The Prop firm view in Talios runs this same Simulator on a backtest's trades, opening on the setup you saved here.
  • The AI analyst. Open the AI panel on the Simulator and ask things like "What risk per trade gives me the best pass rate here?", "Why do I fail this challenge, drawdown or time?" or "Compare 0.5% and 1% risk on this account." It sees everything on screen and can run its own what-ifs.
  • Signed out. Visitors see the Simulator running on the showcase journal, read-only, with a challenge already picked.

Size from the odds, not from hope

Slide the risk per trade and watch the pass and bust probabilities move. Most traders find a risk level where the pass rate peaks: lower and the target takes too long, higher and the drawdown gets hit first.
