Talios
What is Talios
The strategy IDE: write in Python, backtest on real candles, read it with Analytics.
Talios is a strategy IDE built into Afterburner. Write a trading strategy in Python (or describe it to the coding agent), backtest it on real candles, then read its trades with the full Analytics report and the prop firm Simulator. No setup, nothing to install.

Writes, fixes and runs the code for you
The loop
- 1
Create a project
Name your strategy, pick its pairs, timeframe, period, timezone, account size and risk. - 2
Write the strategy
A Python class with anon_barmethod that decides, bar by bar, when to enter, where the stop and target go, and when to get out. Or ask the agent: "Write an FVG strategy: retests with the EMA 200 trend, London and NY killzones". - 3
Run the backtest
Ctrl + Enter (⌘ + Enter on Mac). Talios loads the candles, plays your strategy through them and records every trade. - 4
Read the results
See every trade on the chart in the Data feed, every KPI and chart of Analytics in Results, and your odds on a funded account in Prop firm. Change one line, run again.
The screen
| Area | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Toolbar | The file tree toggle, the project switcher and + New project, the save status (Saved, Saving…), the four views, and Run backtest on the right. |
| Views | Code | Data feed | Results | Prop firm. Code is where you write; the other three read the last run. |
| Left sidebar | The Workspace file tree on top, the Backtest settings below. Drag its edge to resize, double-click to reset; Ctrl + B hides it. |
| Bottom panel (Code view) | Console (what your strategy prints, the engine's notes, errors), Problems (code checks) and Trades (every trade of the last run). Drag its top edge to resize, or fold it with its chevron. |
| Agent panel | The Talios agent, on the right, opened from the star button at the bottom right. Open by default. |
Every i button in Talios opens a short explanation of the area it sits in, with your own numbers where it helps.
Access
- Included with Sky Priority and with the standalone plan. Open the Talios tab in the navbar.
- Desktop only. Writing and backtesting needs a keyboard and room; on a screen narrower than a small laptop, Talios asks you to switch to a larger one.
- The demo. Signed out, Talios opens a read-only demo project, Gold Trend Pullback on XAU/USD 1H over 2024–2025, with its results already computed and a sample conversation with the agent. Every view can be explored; nothing runs or saves.
