Time & instrument analysis

Sessions, weekdays, entry hours, months, pairs and timeframes.

When you trade matters as much as what you trade. This part of the report slices your performance across every time dimension, then across instruments and timeframes.

Performance Over Time

  • Monthly Performance. One bar per calendar month (net result) with a win-rate line on a second axis. Bars and rate diverging is worth a look: a green month with a falling win rate means a few big wins carried it.
  • Profit by Entry Day. Net result booked per weekday, bars colored by sign, with each day's win rate as a line on a second axis (0–100%). Hover a day for both plus its trade count. A day can win often and still lose money; bars and line side by side show it.
  • Entry Hour Performance. Average result by the hour you entered, with each hour's win rate on hover. The zoom button at the top right opens the same bars in 15-minute windows (9:00, 9:15, 9:30…), or 5-minute ones with its 5m | 15m switch, to find the exact part of the hour that pays; its bars open their trades too. The Entry | Exit switch beside it (also in the zoom) buckets the same trades by the hour they closed instead, and the card becomes Exit Hour Performance; it resets to Entry on reload. Combined with the entry-hour range filter, this finds the hours that actually pay you.
  • Profit by Trading Session. The same view per session (Asia, London, New York and their overlaps): net result as bars, win rate as the line. Most traders discover one killer session and a few leaks here. If all your trades sit in one session, the card hides and Profit by Calendar Month takes the full row.
  • Profit by Calendar Month. All years combined per month-of-year (every January summed together, etc.), revealing seasonality once your journal spans years.

By Instrument

Expectancy by Pair: the average result per trade for every pair, sorted descending, with win rate and trade count in the tooltip. This chart makes concentration decisions for you: risk belongs where expectancy is proven, and pairs bleeding at the bottom of this chart rarely earn their place.

By Timeframe

When your trades span at least two timeframes, two charts appear: Win Rate by Timeframe and Net Result by Timeframe (5m, 15m, 1h and so on). If your 5m entries bleed while 15m prints, the data just told you where to stop trading.
