Tags
Build your own taxonomy with colored tags grouped in categories.
Tags let you build your own trade taxonomy: colored labels grouped into categories you define, applied per trade, filterable everywhere.
The structure
Tags live inside categories. A category might be "Entry model" holding tags like FVG, OB and Breaker; another might be "Mistakes" holding Chased, Oversized and Moved Stop. Categories keep the taxonomy readable as it grows.
Working with tags on a trade
- The tag row. Every trade page shows one container per category, ending with a "New tag +" creator. Click a tag to toggle it on or off for that trade.
- Creating a tag. Type a name (up to 30 characters) and pick one of nine preset colors. The pill renders as a translucent wash of the color behind colored text, so every tag stays readable in both light and dark themes.
- Renaming and recoloring. Open a tag's editor to rename it or change its color; every trade carrying it updates instantly, because trades reference tags by a stable id.
- Categories are editable too. Rename a category or delete it (with a confirm step). Deleting a category removes its tags from all trades.
- Tags everywhere you log. The same category boxes appear in the New Trade form and under the chart in a trade's chart dialog: toggle, create or edit tags there. New categories are created on a trade page.
- Let the AI do the tagging. "Tag every trade where my notes mention FOMO", "create a Trend category with With trend and Counter trend, and tag my trades from the price action": the AI analyst prepares it, colours new tags by meaning, and applies it once you confirm. See Changes to your journal.
- Limits. Up to 20 categories and 30 tags per category.
Filtering by tags
The Tags chip in the filter bar scopes the app to trades matching your tag picks: ticking several tags in the same category shows trades with any of them, while tags from different categories must all match (every filter combines as AND). Switch the chip to Without to drop every trade carrying any of the ticked tags instead. Combine it with anything else: "show me every FVG entry, London session, losses only" is three chips. Deleted tags clean themselves out of saved filters automatically.
Tag your mistakes
The highest-leverage category most traders create is "Mistakes". Tag every rule violation for a month, then filter analytics by each mistake tag: you will see, in R, exactly what each bad habit costs.
